Phase 1: Initial Setup of Your Account
In this phase, we create your profile in our system and connect you to our secure payment gateway so you can receive money from your clients.

Step 1: First Contact
To get started, simply let us know your interest in joining the platform.

Tell us your name and the name of your tourism business. After that, we'll take the next step.

Step 2: Creating your Sub-Business
With your information, our team will set up your Operator profile within PiaWak. This is the technical step that allows us to associate bookings directly with you and ensure our 0% commission model is applied correctly from day one.

Step 3: Register with ONVOPay to Receive Your Payments
To ensure you can receive payments from your tourists securely and directly into your bank account, we use ONVOPay, a regulated and certified Costa Rican payment gateway.

We'll send you a direct registration link via email or WhatsApp.

You'll need to complete the ONVOPay form with your personal or company information and the bank account where you wish to receive the funds from your sales.

Phase 2: Activation and Launch
Once our payment partner approves your account, all that's left to do is activate your PiaWak membership and start selling.

Step 4: ONVOPay Approval
ONVOPay will review your information. The process is quick:

SINPE Mobile: It will be activated in a few hours.

Credit/Debit Cards: Activation will take 2-4 business days. We'll notify you as soon as your payment account is fully activated.

Step 5: Choose and Pay for your PiaWak Membership
With your payment account ready, you'll be redirected to the PiaWak app (app.piawak.com) to choose the monthly subscription plan that best suits your business. You accept and acknowledge our dynamic pricing model, which adjusts based on the tourist season to always offer you a fair rate.

Step 6: Access your Dashboard and Sell!
Congratulations! Once your subscription payment is complete, you'll have immediate access to your Operator dashboard. From this moment on, you'll be able to:

Start receiving reservations and payments automatically.

Before You Start: Clear Requirements and Fees
Transparency is at the heart of our operations. Here's everything you need to know before you get started.
Prerequisites
In order to process payments and comply with national regulations, it is necessary that:
You are registered with the Ministry of Finance as a natural person (taxpayer) or legal entity.
Have an active bank account in the Costa Rican national banking system.
Payment Gateway Fees (ONVOPay)
PiaWak doesn't charge any commission on your tour sales. You only pay your monthly subscription. The only transaction fees are those of our partner, the ONVOPay payment gateway:
Visa/MC/AMEX Cards (Local and International): 3.00% + $0.35 per successful transaction.
SINPE Mobile: 1.5% per successful transaction.
Settlement (Transfer to your bank): $3 for each transfer of funds to your account. You can set the frequency (daily, weekly, etc.).

Our Terms and Your Responsibility
By joining PiaWak, you agree that you are the final provider of the service. It is vital that you understand the following points of our Terms and Conditions:
Commercial Relationship: PiaWak is a technological tool. The contract for the provision of a tourist service is exclusively between you (the Operator) and the Tourist.
Service Quality: You are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and execution of the tourism services you offer, as well as for complying with all necessary permits and insurance.

Cancellation Policies: Each Operator is responsible for defining and communicating its own cancellation policy to tourists.
